Attention Tampa Bay Area Plumbing Contractors
The Apprenticeship Program of the Pinellas Association of PHCC (Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors) is now accepting applications for the first year apprentice class. Interviews will be scheduled for incoming students in mid August at the St. Petersburg Campus of the Pinellas Technical College (PTC); formerly (PETC), located at 901 34th St. South. Here's a link to the program's brochure for a summary of the program: Apprenticeship Program Brochure.pdf
The PHCC Pinellas Apprenticeship Program is a four-year Florida Department of Education registered program. All apprentices must be sponsored by their employer, attend evening classes, and verify on-the-job training. The 2020-21 classes are scheduled at the St. Petersburg Campus of the Pinellas Technical College (PTC) located at 901 34th St. South on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 PM. Classes will begin on September 8th for all students starting with an orientation of what is expected of students.
As you know...now is a good time to get employees trained, while the construction industry is starting to pick back up. As the economy continues to rebound from COVID19, will your company and the plumbing industry still have qualified, trained employees to do the work? We encourage you to sponsor one or more of your employees to participate in the PHCC Pinellas Apprenticeship Program to train your workforce of tomorrow.
