Lead Renovation, Repair & Painting Certification Class for Plumbing Contractors

Effective April 22, 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) "Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule" (RRP) requires any Plumbing Contractor who works on a house or a child occupied facility built before 1978 and disturbs 6 sq. ft. or more of lead-based painted surface to have a Lead Renovator's Certification.

View the EPA's website (www.epa.gov/lead/pubs/sbcomplianceguide.pdf) and read the "Small Entity Compliance Guide to Renovate Right." This gives you an overview of the rule and how it applies to you as a plumbing contractor.

Certification class is a "hands-on" skills course with mandatory proficiency assessments. Fees include all class materials, supplies, exam, certificate of completion and registration with the EPA.
